  • Safe Blood Transfusion after compatibility testing and screening for Transfusion transmitted infections.
  • Iron Chelation (Oral/Sub-cutaneous/Combined Theory)
  • Hb F augmentation in selective patients
  • Medical consultation for the patients and their families
  • Screening for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV infection, Syphilis using automated Electrochemilumineescence (ECLIA) immunoassay and Malaria by Immuno-chromatographic Technique and Microscopy
  • Laboratory investigations to monitor complications i.e. Hemosiderosis, Endocrinopathies, Cardiac Complications, Alloimmunization, etc.
    Detection of thalassemia minor.
  • Parental diagnosis of beta thalassemia major fetus through Chorionic Villus Sampling after 12th week of gestation. (This facility is not available in house but MTC bear the cost this procedure for the registered families).
  • Genetic counselling of the index families.
  • Thalassemia Awareness Sessions and Campaigns to create awareness of Beta Thalassemia among different communities.
  • Research is also conducting at our center to improve the quality of life of our patients.
