MIRPUR WORKSHOP

Thalassaemia Federation of Pakistan conducted a workshop clinical management and prevention of Thalassaemia at Mirpur on the 14th of May 2016. The Workshop was conducted in conjunction with the Executive Committee meetings of TFP.

The workshop was attended by the doctors, Medical Students of Benazir Medical University, paramedics & dignitaries of Azad Kashmir. The Workshop covered important topics such as diagnosis of Thalassaemia in children, blood transfusions in Thalassaemia major/ NDTD, iron chelation, recent advances in prenatal diagnosis, prenatal diagnosis of Thalassaemia, genetic counselling & genetic conditions, problems of prevention of Thalassaemia in Pakistan and Punjab Thalassaemia program. At the end of the workshop, speakers were awarded shields & souvenirs and participants were given certificates of participation.
